do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Trevor & Teresa Johnson Papua

Working amongst the Korowai people,Danowage village, Papua, Indonesia

In 2007 the Johnsons were sent to work amongst the Korowai, a remote, tribal people in Papua. Trevor and Teresa live with their children - Noah (14), Alethea (11), Perpetua (7) and Gideon (3) - in the Korowai village of Danowage. They have been instrumental in putting in an airstrip, taking the gospel to other remote groups, providing the people with the basics of healthcare, establishing a church in the village, and setting up a school - the Lantern of Hope School. They work in with indigenous evangelists and church planters. In 2018 the Johnsons have been out of Papua seeking medical help for Trevor, who has chronic malaria. From a distance the Johnsons are still vitally involved supporting the work in Papua while Trevor recovers, most recently in Penang and Singapore.
