Prayer Meeting

 

Time:  9:45 a.m. each Sunday Place:  The Performing Arts Centre at Heaton Intermediate School, 125/133 Heaton Road, Merivale, Christchurch The Prayer Meeting is open to all. It finishes at about 10:15 a.m. and is followed by light refreshments before our Worship Service commences.

Sunday Worship Service

 

Time:  10:30 a.m. each Sunday Place:  The Performing Arts Centre at Heaton Intermediate School, 125/133 Heaton Road, Merivale, Christchurch see map This is the main meeting of the church and forms the focus for our worship of God, our fellowship with one another, and the teaching of the Word. The Service includes congregational singing of psalms, hymns and songs, the public reading of the Bible and prayer, and the preaching of God's Word.  The formal part of the meeting usually finishes at about 11:45 a.m. and further details are available by clicking here.

Bible Study

 

Time:  7:30 p.m. each Wednesday (occasionally this meeting is replaced by a Church Members' Meeting) Place:  A home of members of the church The Bible Study is for all those who want to grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures and how Christians can live God-honouring lives. The meeting may utilise audio/video material as well as other Bible Study aids, and involves interactive discussion under the leadership of a member of the church. The meeting usually finishes at about 9:00 p.m. and is followed by light refreshments.

Women's Fellowship

 

 

Time:  7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month Place:  Usually held in a home of members of the congregation This meeting is for women and girls (according to the parents' discretion) who want to study the Word of God together, with a particular focus upon helping women to apply the teachings of the Bible to their particular circumstances. The meeting also provides an opportunity for Christian fellowship and friendship.

Men's Fellowship

 

 

Time:  7:30am - 9:30am on three Saturday mornings each year (the last Saturday of the first, second and third term school holidays) Place:  the venue is arranged for each meeting This meeting is for men and boys (according to the parents' discretion) and is intended as an opportunity for fellowship, discussion and prayer. From time to time a speaker may present a topic, at other times one of the men will lead a study in the Word of God. The meeting begins with breakfast and ends with corporate prayer. Those wishing to attend a particular meeting are asked to register their interest and may be required to pay a small fee to cover the cost of breakfast.
